This is purely about me and my journey to success.  I’m Kate from Bristol, just your standard, forty something, single mum with a 10 year old boy (well, nudging 47 to be precise, if I’m going to be open and honest I may as well start with my age!), who has been dealt what I call “A Curved Ball”.

Diagnosed with breast cancer on 13th April 2017, I broke the news to my friends and family in a very long-winded email – not my normal form of communication for bad news – but it was necessary to protect my family from too many questions and to reassure “from the horses mouth” that I was fine and dandy and would be getting better.

It was such a cathartic experience being able to off load, empty my brain, selfishly make it somebody else’s problem…  that’s why I have decided to start this blog.  At first Facebook was an obvious place to post updates, but I didn’t want to annoy people with my wittering on.  At least this way if you want to read about my trials and tribulations then you can choose to, or not!
